What they do
Sven clears a camp in one cleave and turns that farm straight into damage. His ultimate roughly doubles his attack for a window, so the whole game becomes about being in the right fight when it is up. Straightforward, which is why he is so often recommended to new carry players.

A large bonus to base damage for a few seconds. With cleave, it turns a teamfight into a single swing.
