What this is.
Two things. A plain-language guide to Dota 2 for anyone who has never played it, and an open call for five players to join the Impulse88 Team roster on a salary and train with me full-time.
The guide
Dota has a reputation for being impossible to get into, and most of that reputation is earned by how it is explained rather than by the game itself. So the guide here starts from one sentence — two teams of five, one map, one building to knock down — and adds only what you need to make sense of the next thing.
Sixteen heroes and eight items, written to read like someone talking rather than a wiki. Numbers such as item costs are close but should not be trusted as current: Dota is patched constantly and this site is not.
The roster
Impulse88 Team is being built to compete for the tournament. Five places, each on RM 100,000 a year, training full-time — and I am training with them rather than managing from the outside.
